LONGSHENG RICE TERRACE

Also called Longji Rice Terrace, picturesque terraced fields, about 6 hours drive from Guilin city. Ticket fare is 100 yuan to use the cable car up and down the mountain to appreciate the scenery of the terrace (advisable), But if you wish to save some money and time, you can pay half the price up the mountains and come down with your legs lol to appreciate the fields and also the villages. There are various tour guides in Guilin (so be careful and don’t get scammed). It’s a rough mountainous ride so if you have altitude sickness you might want to reconsider.. 😃 but trust me, it’s worth the ride.

WELCOME TO SHANGHAI! 上海

Old and modern city of China, the skyscraper city. SHANGHAI. Houses the tallest building in China and 2nd tallest building in the world. Full of life, with a lot of sightseers, amazing night life, and a very expensive city! (Make use of the buses and subways) 😆!
How we got here?? Okay. Booked the overnight bullet train from Beijing to Shanghai. The journey was 12 hours and comfortable. LuJiaZui area houses the tallest buildings. It’s just amazing how it feels like tall buildings are just going round your head, yes this is how it feels at LuJiaZui lol! Don’t forget to enjoy an evening or night boat cruise at Huang Pu river, enjoy the scenery of the city from the tallest building in the Bund! There are museums and much more.

GUILIN 桂林

The city of the Pagodas, elephant trunk hill, mountains and terraces. Welcome to Guilin.
It was roughly a 3 hour train ride with the bullet train  from Guangzhou to Guilin. The mountainous view, the hot weather, beautiful and welcoming people, everything was so mesmerizing because for starters, I have been used to only seeing skyscrapers and foggy clouds. Not so much mountains and blue skies. Our hotel was just 10 minutes walk from the train station, very interesting cos 1. It’s my first time in that part of China. And 2. With the photography bag and boxes we walked in that hot sun to find our hotel lol .... get used to it!

The Alien Ship

You know how you see a building and it leaves you in awe?  I know I know 😁 like how did they build it? 🤦‍♂️

  • Anytime I'm going to the hospital I see this building and always wondered what it is.. Then at some point we decided to check it out. Yes! It's a masterpiece and This is it. 盛京大剧院 (Shengjing Grand Theater). Beautifully designed and The architecture is very well done. The view of it is even more jaw dropping at night, how it changes color every few seconds? Bruh.! Kudos 👍🏾

Street and its people

What's up guys!!! It's been loong looong looong since I was looong loong gone😁😁😁 Well, it's not been so easy combining medical practice and photography but! We will survive, I promise😇.. Back to the real deal,, I got tired of staying indoors so I decided to take a walk with my 35mm Prime lens, but what for?? To look at people? Or things? Or?? Yes BOTH😅.. Guys it's not easy to take pictures in the streets, first of all you need  CONFIDENCE!!!! If you lack that, don't even walk out your door😑 lol just kidding😂  Why confidence? Because you are interacting with people. Some people bring their private lives to the streets... Like c'moooon, give us a break😏. While some can be very interesting to snap like some of the pictures below😌.
Aside confidence, you need to get PERMISSION. Like, "please can i take a picture of you"? lol but i don't do usually do that until i'm done taking a shot or few😆 because I believe the pictures appear best when the subject is caught off-guard.. I mean it's a called street photography for a reason right? Not a freaking modeling interview

😹.. Lastly you need to say THANK YOU... Thank your subject, if they care enough, send the pictures to them.. You'll make friends, you'll see things, and things will see you😀

And this is your life.” Brooke Davis.Live your life, enjoy it to the fullest, cherish your family, friends and loved ones, because, today you are here, tomorrow you might not.. be. #agegracefully

MY SCHOOL LIBRARY.

The school library is one of the tallest building in the school (CMU). I really don't know the exact floors each side of the building has cos it comprises of both the library and administrative block. It is located at the center of the school with the lake surrounding it.. Being at the center, the North, East, West and South gates are all facing each of the 4 sides of the building. It is an interesting place to study, trust me. !!

Let's go to RED BEACH!
Red Beach (红海滩), located in Dawa County, Panjin, Liaoning, China, is famous for its landscape featuring the red plant of Suaeda salsa of the Chenopodiaceae family. The Sueda is one of the few species of grass that can live in highly alkaline soil. Its growth cycle starts in April when it is coloured light red, while the colour of the mature species is deep red . It is based in the biggest wetland and reed marsh in the world. The landscape is composed of shallow seas and tide-lands..
Panjin City, although a relatively small city, is beautiful.. We arrived at Panjin in the morning on 7-8-2015, got our tickets at the train station, and hired a cab driver to drive us around all the way to the red beach. The people were really baffled at the sight of us. (All blacks of course) 2 black indians, and 2 nigerians. Haha. They followed us around, to the eatery, to the bank, etc. It got scarier we had to leave immediately. Lmao. They've never seen such color before? or our statue? Or even.... our beauty?? LOL. It was an amazing trip.
